Here are a few photos taken at our first ever Bluegrass Etsy team swap held in December. This brilliant idea was courtesy of Kelly and Joey Graves of Whimsy Beading and they organized the event for us. Brendan's in Louisville allowed us to use their pub for our meeting place.
A great time was had by all! We had a nice lunch then set up our wares on the pub tables and everyone was able to do some bartering. I think everyone was very pleased with the trades and we were able to get some gifts for the holidays without spending much (if any) money!
We are hoping to have another team swap in the future! Stay tuned for details!
Congrats to our team member Angela Latham (Spool of Plenty) who had a baby girl this month. We hear that mommy and baby are doing well! Can't wait to see some baby pictures!
Also, congrats are in order for our own Courtney Snyder who was featured in the January issue of Underwired magazine. To see some of Courtney's original collage art, visit her Memoir etsy shop here. Way to go Courtney!
Finally, special recognition goes out to Libby Goldsmith who reached OVER 1,000 sales on Etsy at the end of 2009. Way to go Libby! Libby's personal goal was to reach 1,000 sales by May 2010 but it didn't take her that long! To check out Libby's handcrafted vegan soaps, check out her Maylees Garden shop here.
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and that you are getting settled back into your routine! This month we have something to help you RELAX!
We are excited to announce our Bluegrass etsy team giveaway for the month of January, donated by our own Jackie Alberti of Glory Be Herbals.
Lavender/Ylang Ylang Bath Salts
Lavender is famous for relaxing the body and balancing mood while Ylang Ylang lowers blood pressure and promotes feelings of love (including self-love). These bath salts are the perfect remedy for post holiday stress and the winter blues. They are made with sea salts, borax, baking soda, pure essential oils and powdered Lavender flowers. This 4 oz bottle will give you 4-8 relaxing baths!
The value of this giveaway is $6.
